We are very excited about seeing everyone. Our 45th High School Reunion is just a month away!!!
Following is important information:
Friday, June 11: Meet at DHS at 5 pm for a group photo on the “wall”. This is a change in schedule!!
We will tour DHS at 5:30.
ADDITIONAL Photos: In addition to the Sat. night group photo (charge is $20.00 per photo—send in with your
Reunion registration), Fri. evening Ron Kerr will take a DHS “wall” group photo and Candid photos Fri. and Sat. evenings. These additional photos (on CD) will be $20.00 for those who have already paid for the Sat. night group photo. Ron will take money for CD Fri. or Sat. night. Saturday, June 12: Bring your own Beverage or “BYOB”.
We will not have a cash bar but ice, cups tea and water will be provided.
Parking: Friday night— DeKalb County Courthouse—No charge/No attendant after 5 PM.

Hi Everyone:
Are you ready to reconnect and relive those great 60’s memories? It’s almost time, so we wanted to send a few updates to the information you received in the first letter and invitation, along with a few reminders.
Friday night we will meet at 5:30 in front of DHS for the school tour followed by an evening of visiting and fun at Twain’s. We’re planning a group picture on “The Wall” so don’t miss it!
If you haven’t already sent in your registration form and money please don’t delay. We always were the biggest class, let’s have the biggest class reunion!
As you know we decided to have an electronic Class Directory but to date only 44 have entered their information. Whether you can come to the reunion or not, we’d all like to know where you are, what you’ve been up to and how to get in touch with you.

Can you believe it’s been 45 years since we walked the hallowed halls of our Alma Mater? Let’s all get together, remember the old times and catch up on the “here and now.” Here’s what we have planned:
Friday, June 11th
Late afternoon (time TBA): Tour of new state-of-the-art Decatur High School
Evening: Twain’s Billiards and Tap, 211 E. Trinity Place, Decatur
Bar food and beverages “on your own”
Saturday, June 12th
6:00 p.m. – midnight: The Solarium, 321 W. Hill Street, Decatur
6:30 p.m.: Group photo
Buffet dinner, cash bar, dancing
Attire: Dressy Casual
Cost per person: $65.00
Cost for group photo: $20.00
Friday Details:
Decatur High now houses electronics and facilities we could not have dreamed of in 1965. After the tour we’ll mosey up to Twain’s (across from the Old Post Office) for a fun evening of catching up and hanging out. Specific time and place to meet will be sent later.
Saturday Details:
Following our group photo (by Ron Kerr of Kerr Studio) we’ll enjoy an evening of dining (Southern Tradition Caterers), dancing (Lekan Parsons, Deejay) and talking up a storm.
Lodging: Holiday Inn, downtown Decatur (404-371-0204) is blocking off 15 – 20 rooms at the rate of $85.00 (1 King or 2 doubles) for Saturday night. Some rooms will be available Friday night. The hotel will provide free shuttle service several times a night between The Solarium and the hotel. Ask for Lisa Castagna or identify yourself as a DHS Class of ’65 graduate.
Music requests: If you have specific music requests – song title AND artist please – post them on the Chat page by the end of March so we can give our deejay time to prepare.
Class Directory: In keeping with the times we will have an online-only version of the Class Directory. There will be no hard copy of the Directory. Please go to the Update Us page to submit your contact information.
